Billboard® Venezuela Music Award - Trophy Design
The Billboard Music Awards are honors given out annually by Billboard®, a publication covering the music business and a music popularity chart. The Billboard Music Awards show had been held annually since 1990.
In 2017, Billboard® started its plan to hold award shows in different countries to honor their local artists. I was hired to design the trophy that the winners of the Billboard® Venezuela Music Award would receive. It was truly an honor to work for an industry I am so passionate about.

New Award Design
Redesign the trophy under the rules & parameters stated by Bilboard®
I took this opportunity and challenged myself to make a trophy that truly represented the country and its beautiful culture. To do so, I used the flag colors, 8 stars, map silhouette, the letter "V", and included the kinetic art of Carlos Cruz-Diez, an icon in Venezuelan culture and one of the greatest artistic innovators of the 20th century.
